Postdoctoral Fellowship (Biophysics of Thrombosis and Hemostasis)

A post-doctoral position is available for a highly motivated biophysicist to study thrombosis and hemostasis using variety of in vivo or in vitro biological models and/or mathematical modeling and 2-photon videomicroscopy.
Qualifications:
The candidate is expected to have background in physics and mathematics or biomedical engineering. Experience with at least one of the following techniques is required: deep tissue imaging using two-photon microscopy, hemostasis and thrombosis, medical device engineering, mathematical modeling (including fluid dynamics, pattern formation, and non-linear dynamics), and enzymology. The candidate should be eligible to work in the USA.
Location:
The laboratory is located on the NIH campus in Bethesda, Maryland and offers an excellent environment for professional development.
Position Availability and Term:
The term starts between August and December 2011 and lasts for one year with the possibility of extension. This position is a contract fellowship through the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE).
Salary:
Candidates will be offered a competitive salary depending on their experience.
