Department of Emerging Materials Science

Tenure-Track Faculty Position

The Department of Emerging Materials Science at DGIST seeks candidates 
for tenure-track faculty positions. Appointment will be at the level
of tenure-track assistant or associate professors.

Exceptional candidates, particularly those who will enhance our
graduate program in teaching, research, and supervision of the student
research, are sought. Candidates with demonstrated excellence in
original research in the following areas are strongly encouraged to

• Nano/ Bio  Materials.

• Quantum  Materials.

Candidates should hold a Ph. D. and have at least two years of
research or teaching experience. Graduate education in physics,
materials science and engineering, chemistry, or a closely related
field is preferred.

Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science & Technology (DGIST), that
is one of the government run academic institutes in Korea, began
its graduate programs in March 2011. DGIST offers graduate and
undergraduate (from March, 2014) programs in the fields of Brain
Science, Robotics Engineering, Information and Communication
Engineering, and Energy Systems Engineering, together with Emerging
Materials Science. The Department of Emerging Materials Science
started from 2013 and will take the initiative for DGIST to be one
of the leading universities around the world.
