Faculty Position in Quantum Optics / Quantum Information

The Department of Physics at Pohang University of Science and
Technology (POSTECH) invites applications for a tenure track faculty
position in the area of quantum optics (broadly defined) and quantum
information to begin in Fall 2015 or earlier. We anticipate hiring
at the assistant professor level, but will consider an associate
professor appointment for exceptional candidates.

We seek a candidate with the ability to build a competitive research
program in quantum optics and quantum information, which could for
instance, include photonic quantum information and quantum optics
with atomic/nano-photonic systems.  We are primarily looking for an
experimentalist but an exceptional theorist will also be considered.
The ideal candidate will have some overlap in interests and approaches
with the existing group, but complement the present research at

Applicants must have a Ph.D. and a demonstrated potential for
excellence in teaching and research. The successful candidate will
join the Physics faculty and is expected to lead internationally
recognized and forefront research programs.
