The AKPA Outstanding Young Researcher Award (OYRA) 2022

We are pleased to announce that the 2022 AKPA Outstanding Young Researcher Award (OYRA) will be given to

Dr. Jong Yeon Lee (University of California, Santa Barbara)


“for a broad range of significant contributions to the theoretical and numerical study of topological and strongly correlated systems,”

Dr. Philip Chang (University of California, San Diego)

“for outstanding contributions to physics of the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) experiment, enabling the first ever observation of the heavy tri-boson production.”

This award is jointly sponsored by the Association of Korean Physicists in America (AKPA) and the Korean Physical Society (KPS).
