We are pleased to announce that the 2025 AKPA Outstanding Young Researcher Award (OYRA) will be awarded to
Dr. Monica Jinwoo Kang (Center of Particle Cosmology Postdoctoral Fellow, University of Pennsylvania)
for her prolific and creative research contributions to string theory, quantum field theory, and mathematical physics as well as for providing excellent mentorship to younger generations of physicists.
Dr. Youngjun Ahn (Materials Scientist, Argonne National Laboratory)
for his outstanding contributions to the study of the light-matter interaction in a wide range of quantum materials, utilizing ultrafast x-ray and optical techniques.
This award is jointly sponsored by the Association of Korean Physicists in America (AKPA) and the Korean Physical Society (KPS).
